Camping in New Jersey can be a very pleasurable past time if you know where and when to go. Even though New Jersey can have quite a bad reputation, this only goes for certain areas, other parts are really very beautiful and a great place to go camping with the family or just on your own or a group of friends.

There are some great camping destinations along the coast of New Jersey, where many families and hikers spend their camping time. If you prefer the north of the state, you could always try out Cheasequake State Park where there are 53 campsites for both tents and trailers. Or if this isn’t really for you and your family, the north side of the state also offers the Hartshorn County Park based in the Atlantic Highlands.
