Where can I go in say Colorado, Montana or Wyoming that would be fun for my wife and 7 year old daughter? She likes to camp. We’ll go fishing and etc.
I guess it would be nice if there were other kids around. But whatever would be fun. This is a first for us so…
We are planning a trip to go hiking, fishing, camping, maybe horseback riding. We live in North Florida. Any good ideas for a weekend trip? Blue ridge mountains? We don’t want to spend much money so how would we go about this? Any free camping shelters or lodges or very cheap lodges.
Any specific hiking trails we can follow that have good shelters? We are not experienced hikers, but we are young and have done much hiking before. Please give us info on any sites to direct us to equipment, techniques, lodging/shelters/hostels/ and trails we can do.
Thanks!!
So we were camping last year, fishing on a small dock at our friend’s camp site. My cousin went back to our camp site to get some food, and he left his pole, still cast out and baited. It was just laying there and I was still fishing when his pole started moving and fell in the water! I reached in and pulled it out just before it completely went under, reeled it in, and there was a big fish at the end! So did I catch it, or my cousin? Lol

There are different reasons why people go fishing. Some just take up this hobby for relaxation whereas others do it also for the entertainment and joy of actually catching fish. No matter your personal perspective on fishing, if you are going to practice it, you’ll most surely need equipment.
There are all sorts of factors that influence the choice of the gear items, and the fish species you are after is one of the most important ones. Thus, in the case of trout fishing, because trout is what we are going to discuss, you will need typical tackle and certain types of lures. Even when fishing for the same species, you may have to use different types of trout fishing lures because of the different environments inhabited by this fresh water fish.
There are several types of trout fishing lures for the rainbow subspecies that is preferred by many fisherman. Thus, most of the rainbow trout fishing lures can be divided into four groups as follows: trout bait, trout jigs, trout spinners and trout flies.
To begin with, we will discuss the bait group of trout fishing lures. Trout bait may consist of live nightcrawlers, bread or dough. Other pieces of food can be put into the hook, and they are most often improvisations. Another group of trout fishing lures is represented by trout jigs which are most effective in deep waters. The jigs are very small and their bodies can be made of either hair/feather or soft plastic. The main disadvantage if these trout fishing lures is that when using them frequent snags may occur because of logs, rocks or over-hanging branches.
The other two groups of trout fishing lures are trout flies and trout spinners. In the case of flies any type of live insect works but dry flies, wet flies, nymphs and streamers are even better solutions. Matching the hatch is the only requirement for the use of flies as fishing trout lures. Last but not least, spinners make another viable option. As said before, it is important to choose the adequate type of trout fishing lures to ensure a successful trout fishing trip.

It can be quite enjoyable and exciting to go bass angling at night. Sadly, it may also be a scary, bothersome, and unexciting experience. Which type of scenario you experience will depend on how you prepare for your night time bass angling excursion. I wrote this article as a night time bass fishing guide for having fun. We will go over both location and equipment set up.
To start with, you need to select a location to go night fishing. You will want to scout the place out during the afternoon so that their won’t be any surprises when you head out there at night. Be very careful to find any items in the way that might cause you to fall at night. Either move the interferences or take a mental note of them so you can avoid them later.
Get your boat all set up before the sun goes down. You’ll really want to have a light mounted to the front of your boat so that you can convert it on to help you bring in your bass. Make sure you don’t use it until you have actually hooked a bass. A fish may have been following your lure and frightening it away will only hurt your prospects for a good catch.
Another excellent trick is to pick out a decent place to fish just before it becomes dark. Once the sun sets you will be able to swiftly go to your designated angling spot. Just make sure your lines are already setup and all set to go.
Good lures to use at night are top water lures. The silhouette that top water lures create helps bring in the bass. Plugs, soft plastics, and bobber borne live bait are also very good things to have with you. Glow bobbers are great for drawing in large groups of insects. Although this might seem like a bad thing, it does draw in bass looking to prey on insects.
Bass fishing can be great at night, so don’t hesitate to give it a try. Always remember that preparation is the key to having a fun and safe night time fishing experience. You might end up finding that you like fishing for bass at night more than you do during the day. Thanks for reading, I hope you’ll add this page to your social book marks so that others will see it.
