Helpful hints and tips video that shows a Camp Fire scene being created in Muvizu 3D ( www.muvizu.com ). Originally this video was made to show case Muvizu 3D at the Scottish Technology Showcase event ( www.scottishtechnologyshowcase.com ), and is part of a collection of 10 such videos. This video shows off the new light type of Spot Lights with the flicker effect as well as the user of backdrops. The event took place on the 26th of May 2010 and was hosted by Scottish Enterprise at the SECC in Glasgow. Have a look at our facebook page ( http ) or twitter feed ( twitter.com ) for some photos and commentary — it was a successful day and we received a lot of positive feedback. The videos were made using Muvizu 3D – a free animation package – and a combination of Camtasia ( www.techsmith.com ) to record the User Interface of Muvizu 3D and Virtual Dub ( www.virtualdub.com ) with AVISynth ( avisynth.org ) to speed up the videos as well as do the zoom effect towards the end. The video zooms into a static image which was made by doing “Save Image” in media player classic ( mpc-hc.sourceforge.net ). Finally the end animation was recorded in Muvizu 3D and then appended to the end of the video. The audio track was recorded later using Audacity ( audacity.sourceforge.net ). If you’d like to see more, or have other aspects of Muvizu covered, let me know or have a look at our forum page ( www.muvizu.com ) Good luck with your own Muvizu 3D videos!
