Heading off on one of those self catering holidays within Cornwall is something that a lot of people do each year but what a lot of people do not do is actually head out to one of them around the Christmas time. if you are not even thinking about things like this then you are in the wrong, it is a good thing to do.
Christmas In Cornwall
To heading out on to one of those holiday cottages in Cornwall sounds lovely right, well think about this but in the snow and around the Christmas time. You do not have to stay there over the Christmas period if you do not want too but taking a visit in the winter could be exactly what you need. The great thing about these types of places is that a lot of them offer out dog friendly accommodation which does of course mean that you can take your dogs with you when you head out to that cottage.
How About That Festive Spirit
Going on one of these holidays this time of year helps a lot and will help the whole family to get into that Christmas mood. This of course is what people want and so often if you are working right until Christmas Eve you can really find that things start to get a bit hard to handle and you just do not end up getting into that Christmas spirit at all which of course is never a good thing.
it is up to you how you choose to celebrate Christmas and it does not matter if you want to go to Cornwall or not!. Whatever you do this Christmas have a good one and a Happy New Year too!

I’m asking for my own camping gear this year for Christmas (I usually borrow my parents) I have used their beige Coleman air mattress and it’s a piece of crap (have to reinflate it every night…) I’m looking for a new air mattress as well as a good sleeping bag. Any suggestions? Or any products/companies I should stay away from?

my parents lend-ed money (and a lot too!) to my cousins family so they could start up an old run down campground. But then she started to loose it and it just went all down hill from there. she didn’t pay us back when she had the money and she still owns the campground and thinks it will comeback. But we are very confident it will not. now this conflict has effected the whole side of that family. My grandparents understand and are siding with us but my other aunt and her family (these cousins are some of my best friends!!!) have sided with them. My family ended-up going to grandmas like we do every thanks giving but this year we were the only ones there. I am so sad and discouraged about this and so worried what will happen on Christmas! :,-( My cousins that own the campground go to my school and are in the same grade and we are very close ( or were anyway) our mother are both at each others throats though! they took off on thanksgiving so they had an excuse not to come! they went to New York even though they still don’t have enough money to pay us back. I JUST DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND I BOUGHT ALL OF MY COUSINS CHRISTMAS PRESENTS HOPING TO PERSUADE THEM TO COME FOR CHRISTMAS! I LOVE MY FAMILY SO MUCH AND DON’T WANT THEM TO LOOSE THEIR HOUSE OR MOVE AWAY BECAUSE OF ME! I JUST NEED ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO!

We have moved out and I find myself feeling "I want to go home" but I don’t have one. Living in a 30ft 5th wheel that does not move, and a 26ft Class C that travels. Been here since Christmas 06.

If your looking to spend this Christmas slightly differently then maybe you should consider a retreat to one of Scotland’s notorious Edinburgh hotels. Staying in this enchanted city will provide you with a unique approach to Scottish heritage and tradition. Within no time at all you’ll be finding out about the history of this truly astonishing city. The entire family will be entertained as you discover just how much Edinburgh has to offer.
The Scotsman and the Rocco Forte Balmoral are two of Edinburgh’s most luxurious hotels. Edinburgh plays host to many five star boutique hotels, but these two are renowned for providing a truly exceptional service. During the summer and winter holidays the hotels are particularly busy. There are cheaper options available with other Edinburgh hotels for those who cannot afford such a hefty price tag! However, if you’re looking to fully immerse yourself in a world full of luxurious living, then here you will find the perfect answer. You can really spoil yourself away from home in these luxurious chambers.
The Scotsman and the Balmoral are both located in close proximity to the city centre. In addition to this, they both boast a fully functioning health spa, which is idyllic for anyone looking for a relaxing experience where you can really lose touch with reality. The Balmoral has a restaurant and a brassiere that will tend to your every need. If you feel peckish and don’t feel like leaving the comfort of your bedroom you can order from the room service menu. However, if you’re feeling particularly self-indulgent, who should visit the Number One restaurant, which has a Michelin star chef! The North Bridge Brasserie located within the Scotsman Hotel is renowned for hosting a delicious menu. A visit to the nation’s capital is a very rewarding experience, and a lot of people don’t realise the sheer amount of fun that can be had in the city. You’ll be tempted to return to Edinburgh each year to enjoy the festivities.

I am a university student traveling on a budget. I’d like to go to as many places as possible in Europe (I’m living in London right now).
The first option for me is to travel with a tour company in Christmas break to Eastern Europe which will cost me £800, and I get nice accomodations. Then I’ll go to Western Europe by train by myself in spring break. (That’s because I feel safer going to W.Europe than E. Europe by myself)
The 2nd option is to travel by myself for both Eastern and Western Europe. However I’m a girl and I’ve heard bad stories about girls shouldnt go to some countries alone.
And then the 3rd option is to travel by myself in spring break and go on a tour in summer. The tour will cost £400 which is very cheap, but it’s gonna be camping instead of hoteling for the accomodation. Right now this is my favorite option but I just want to know how camping in Europe generally is and if there will be bugs and stuff like that in June-July.
Thanks for reading all this!!

My husband is interested in taking more camping trips next year, so I thought I’d get him some camping gear for Christmas. Looking for suggestions for what I should get him. (Cheap but durable.)

Christmas is unavoidable, so coming up with a plan of action is a must. No sooner have the stores taken down their Halloween displays than they’re replacing them with huge icicles, gold stars and beaming Santas. The pressure’s on to fight late night shoppers, order turkeys and vast pork pies, and work out how to be in three different places on Christmas Day. There’s no escape.
Or maybe there is, if you dare to try something different and break from the normal, society imposed, traditions…
It’s not necessary to forget about Christmas altogether, unless of course you want to; rather, it’s a case of having a different type of Christmas, one which takes a bit more imagination and planning, but one which you will forever remember.
City breaks are always a popular choice and there are plenty to be had at a reasonable price for those shopping around. Prague, with its rich history and opulent beauty, is a firm favourite and the wonderful Christmas markets are open throughout the festive season, including Christmas Day itself. In Vienna, the Christkindlmarkt in the City Hall Square is famous the world over for its elaborately decorated trees, dozens of wooden huts selling gifts and food and, of course, welcome glasses of hot Gluhwein.
Venice is another great European city that will make your Christmas totally unforgettable. Gone are the crowds of summer tourists (the population is actually halved in the winter months), and so you can take in the unique Venetian culture and charms, with a little festive spirit sprinkled on top, at your own leisurely pace. If you’re looking for a particularly romantic trip, then it’s absolutely ideal.
If it’s that traditional White Christmas you’re dreaming of, then the ski resorts of Switzerland, France and Austria are great places to head for. Sunshine on crisp snow, pine-covered mountains and crackling log fires all make for that perfect Christmas card scene. And, away from the slopes, a glass or two of hot punch always goes down well as the snow softly falls.
Then there is the ultimate Christmas experience – a visit to Lapland. What could be more perfect than spending your Christmas at the place that Mr. Christmas calls home. What could be better than watching, from within your snug log cabin, the snow fall outside as Reindeers run across the scenic landscape. For those of you with children, this can turn out to be the most memorable and magical trip of your lives.
There really is something for everyone in the range of Christmas hotel breaks available. Ask yourself, is another Christmas spent half asleep on the sofa, watching the same old Christmas specials on TV, something that you really want this year?
This Christmas, why not have a festive adventure away from home? Our Christmas hotel breaks guide offers a number of ideas for a wonderful Christmas spent at one of the worlds most festive destinations. Cheap Hotel Chains price compare all latest cheap hotel deals across the world.
