The valley of the Charente River is a famous Cognac making area, so don’t leave without sampling some.

When in France you must sample local cuisine, as these are coastal areas, the seafood is excellent. Fine wine and fine food work hand in hand and all the money you save as camping is inexpensive; can be used for eating out. Great, that sorts out the cooking and washing up!

South of Bordeaux, you will find oyster farming and even more wine making, and in Bordeaux itself, the finest wines are made. They are world renowned for their skill in this area, so sampling is an absolute must. Take a day out for some serious win tasting and let the kids enjoy themselves with organized kids activities at the camping resort.
