What did you think of the area? The river, campgrounds and such?
I want to have an open fire and be perhaps a 1-3 day hike from civilization. I am avoiding campgrounds, but established trails are ok. I will be testing my gear and solo winter camping. Ideally, I don’t have to drive 3-5 hours to the end of the White Mountains (NH) or Catskills (NY).
Hi, I would like to plan a camping trip in Arizona. I am interested in camping for as long as one month. I like the northern half of the state. Can anyone recommend campgrounds that permit longer stays? So far, the longest stay I can find is 7 days. Any suggestions? I would prefer a place with at least toilets and showers and cooking pits. Thanks for any suggestions.
I am 26 and going with a group of mid to late 20-somethings in July. We are looking to camp one night and maybe do a hotel with a water park the next day. Are there any hotels and/or campgrounds that are geared more towards people in their 20′s? Maybe something with a tiki bar by the pool and a cool bar in the hotel.
Im from Pennsylvania and looking to go on a fishing and camping trip this summer with my wife and two sons(7&3). I figure NY is my best bet since the fishing in PA is not very good. Canada would probably be best but I dont want to travel that far. The fishing around Lake Ontario is fantastic but the Idea of taking my two small boys two such a big lake scares me, plus there is not alot of panfish spots to take the kids. I looked into the finger lakes but I know very little about the area. Seems like all they have is wineries and campgrounds not on the lakes. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I will be driving my small car with an 8ft teardrop trailer from the South to the New York City area to visit the City. I would like to know if I will be able to park car and trailer in a public lot at the Staten Island facility to catch the Ferry into NYC. If so, what is the cost? As an alternative, Is there anywhere that I can park my car and teardrop near NYC and be allowed to sleep in my trailer for the night? I do not mind riding a subway, bus, or ferry into NY, but I want my car and trailer to still be there when I get back. I would think a hotel or business in a suburban area would allow me to do this for a fee. Campgrounds charging plus to park are a little ridiculous. If I pay that, I’ll add a little and stay in a hotel somewhere. I am a first timer to NY and need a little advice. Thanks.
I have camped in the USA. I have lots of camping gear. I have camped at 90 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit ( 32 to -15 Celsius )
Where are places to go camping in the Philippines? Are there any campgrounds in the Philippines?

Hi,alright so this fall probably in late september or early october my family wants to go camping somewhere in the state of new york and i was looking for some recomendations.
We live in the central new york area and since we were planning on going on a long weekend the maximum amount of hours we are willing to drive is 4 hours. We were thinking of going to watkins glen state park, but are not sure if it would be good for fall camping.
My family has camped many times before in the mountains of colorado and montana,so we are looking more for a state park campground with a little bit more hiking rather than a KOA or a jellystone campground. We were considering the adirondacks near cranberry or blue mountain lake, but it may be to long of a drive for a weekend trip.
If you have some recomendations on campgrounds that you liked, please answer below!:)
oh and the campground must have sites for a medium sized trailer!
thank you in advance:D
Looking for the closest campgrounds to Wisconsin Dells, it doesn’t have to be right there in town
I want to go camping sometime in February and was wondering if there were any good campgrounds that I should look into.
I’m not looking for anything to fancy. I want something that is more tuned with nature than having a restroom on site (in other words, primitive). I’d like to go swimming too if there’s a lake. I’ll be sleeping in a tent and would like to hike any nearby trails.
We’ll be going from RI to FL in June, and I’m wondering if we can take I-95 straight down. Mapquest is suggesting several criss-crossing routes. Also, any insights on tolls, cheap gas, hotels/campgrounds, and dining along the way would be helpful. Is there anything else we should take into consideration for this trip?
