We are going camping Yosemite for 9 days. We will have a stove and we already have the typical meals planned like chilli, hot dogs, bacon & eggs, sandwiches and stuff like that but we need more since we will be eating 9 breakfasts, 9 lunches, and 8 dinners. We also have to keep in mind of the quantity of stuff we bring since all of our food have to fit in the bear lockers provided. Please help with some good easy recipes.

It would help if you know of a rental company or car dealership (one that also rents vehicles) in Wisconsin or Minnesota that does this. We would like to rent a van that can hold 6-8 people comfortably that also has bike racks for 6-8 bikes on the roof. We will need to be taking this van from Wisconsin or the Twin Cities area of MN to Utah for about a week. A minivan will be too small for all of our camping gear/bike gear & all of our bodies.
Thanks for your help!

I’m going with a few friends to a cabin in the mountains this weekend & am looking for some good ideas foodwise. We will have a grill and a campfire as well as the kitchen in the cabin, but would prefer to cook outdoors. Thinking about a pork tenderloin for Saturday but would like some other ideas besides the usual bbq sides.
Any suggestions?

This summer, my family is planning a cross country trip in a RV (we’re renting one- prob. a class c one, is that good?). It’s 2 adults & 3 kids from ages 7-14. We’re using google maps but i don’t know which order do put the destinations in. We’re starting in Rockland County, NY. I want to know the following:
Are these good places that everyone will enjoy?
What should we add?
What should we leave out?
What order should i put them in on google maps?
How many days do you think it will be? (eating and sleeping included)
How expensive do you think it will be?
We want to go to the following places:
Universal Studios
Walt Disney World
Niagara Falls
Yellowstone National Park
Jenny Lake
Jackson Hole
Grand Canyon National Park
Golden Gate Bridge
THANX!!!!!!

Anyone have experience with RV’s and outdoor speakers? Recently bought a 27ft Class C and will be having a pretty good radio (carry Sirius) and amp installed. My brother wants to have a set of outdoor speakers powered by the radio for when we sit outside. All intelligent thoughts and ideas appreciated. Name some make and models if you want. The speakers would not be permanently placed to the side of the rv but maybe?? the mounts would be. Also the speakers don’t have to be permanently attached to the radio, they could be connected to a plug coming from the rear of the stereo???? Anyway…..

Okay; so this story is going to be long. But I really need help. A bunch of my friends ((who live in NH)) went camping in Maine. It was literally a five minute drive over the boarder. We went camping on a Private Campground; you have to pay to get in. But its all private property. Now the cops came and arrested my boyfriend ((For no legitimate reason but that’s a different story)) Well when they were arresting him they found a pocket knife. It was in his pocket but the clip to it was on the outside. I’m not sure how many inches the knife is but its a small on that you have to push a button to open ((he uses it for his work)). Now the cops charged him with Illegal trafficking of a deadly knife into the state of Maine. So my questions are these:: 1. Since we are from NH does this rule still apply. 2. since we were on a privately owned campground can he still get into trouble ((Also it says no where on the campground rules are knives illegal;; it says just chainsaws and fireworks are illegal)) 3. Since they have no valid reason for arresting him wasn’t the knife illegal found? 4. If it is valid he has court in October; what will most likely be his fine/punishment.
Sorry to write so much;; I just wanted to be as detailed as possible.
Thanks in advance for any help you might have. && I’ll be sure to clear up any questions about the situation you have that might make for a better answer! =)
They were on the property because someone from another camp site called the cops for my friends loud music.
The camp owners said the music was fine:: we even have pictures of the camp workers dancing with all of us! But the other people called the cops and they came.
But regardless of why they are there is a knife still illegal when your camping on private property?? && when it says no where in the camp rules is a knife illegal.
We are from New Hampshire where is perfectly legal to carry one:: so we were shocked when he got charged with traffic deadly knives into maine.
I’m not sure if its considered a "switch blade" which is illegal in all 50 states. Because in NH his work has provided him with that knife to use on the job. ((So I’m not sure that a company would hand him an illegal knife))
and as far as him being arrested I will tell the story…
The cops came onto the campground and started screaming and swearing up a storm. LIke we were in bootcamp or something. They told everyone who was around our campsite to quote "Pack your ***** crap. Your all getting ****ing kicked out" Now the cop said to my boyfriend if you dont want to be arrested I suggest you pack your crap. My boyfriends reply was "well I certainly don’t want to be arrested. Looks like I’m packing" when he turned around to unzip our tent ((to get our stuff of course)) a cop didnt say a single word and in 3 seconds of his hand being there the officer threw him on the ground. Then two other officers jumped ontop of him. Now my boyfriend is an ex-marine. Very well mannered……Cont….
….Cont…. he is very well mannered and there was no reason for the cop to just randomly throw him down. Later we have a conversation on a video phone of one officer saying "Oh for an exMarine he wasn’t that tough" and another officer replying with "especially when I was shoving his face in the sand" and made a moving gesture with his hands of how he was shoving his face in the sand.
The cops came in asking NO question.They just started screaming and yelling and swearing. Now the only thing me and my boyfriend did was enjoy some music. And when he went to touch our tent he was thrown on the ground & arrested. Later:: after things got more calm in an hour I asked one officer why he was arrested in the first place. and he stated that "He was told to leave and made no attempt to start doing so" ((Which he clearly was and 5 seconds is not enough time to make a clear effort anyways)) and when asked why they can come in swearing at everyone the reply was "we have first ammend. rights too
now this is becoming a REALLY long post. But as for prior history.
Ex Marine. CLEAN record. Besides 2 speeding tickets. Never been arrested. Never been in jail ((even over night)).

I’m creating a new class for c++ based on Set theory. I was given Set.h and have to create Set.cpp. I need help with the cardinality function. I’m uncertain how to do it. Here is the program:
#include <iostream>
#include "Set.h"
// Constructor, sets _cardinality to zero
Set::Set(){
_cardinality=0;
}
// returns true if its argument is an element of the set
bool Set::isElement(const int num) const{
for(int i=0; i<_cardinality; i++){
if(_element[i]==num){
return true;
}
else{
return false;
}
}
}
// adds the argument to the set
void Set::add( int num){
for(int i=0; i< _cardinality; i++){
if(_element[i]==num){
return;
}
else{
_element[_cardinality]=num;
_cardinality++;
i++;
}
}
}
// removes the element from the set
void Set::remove(int num){
for(int i=0; i< _cardinality; i++){
if(_element[i]!=num){
return;
}
else if(_cardinality==1){
clear();
}
else{
_element[i]=_element[i+1];
_cardinality–;
}
}
}
// resets cardinality to zero (effectively emptying the set)
void Set::clear(){
for(int i=0; i<_cardinality-1; i++){
_element[i]=0;

Im from Pennsylvania and looking to go on a fishing and camping trip this summer with my wife and two sons(7&3). I figure NY is my best bet since the fishing in PA is not very good. Canada would probably be best but I dont want to travel that far. The fishing around Lake Ontario is fantastic but the Idea of taking my two small boys two such a big lake scares me, plus there is not alot of panfish spots to take the kids. I looked into the finger lakes but I know very little about the area. Seems like all they have is wineries and campgrounds not on the lakes. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have a 1980 Dodge Country Camper Class C motorhome and I believe the converter is out on it. The frig, and lights work on the battery but not when we plug the RV in to the elec. at campsites. They run fine til the battery runs dead. The electrical outlets don’t work on the battery or the elec at the campground. We think the converter is bad but I have no idea where to find the converter or what it looks like. Anyone know? Thanks
frig is 3-way. frig works great off the battery, but the generator is not working so it runs the battery down. We have fuses & breakers in the breaker box. We replaced the fuse that runs the frig & that didn’t help. There are 4 breakers & 6 fuses. The breakers are on. Could the big black cord be bad? It is frayed. When we plug it in,nothing happens. Is there a way with an electrical meter to check if the breakers are working? We filled the propane & couldn’t get anything in the RV that runs on propane to go on & then all the propane came rushing back out the valve you fill at so we have to get a new fill valve. We will do that & try again. We only have 1 propane tank. I couldn’t smell any leaks inside the RV so I don’t know why the propane wasn’t working in the stove/oven. It only leaked outside the RV. We would like to use the water heater & debated putting in an elec. instant heat for hot water. It’s nice to be able to take a shower in there.

I am renting an RV for the first time and need some advise. How often do we have to empty the tanks (Black & Grey water tanks, 55g). We are renting a class C (30ft) RV for 8 adults, I am worried if we have to keep emptying the tanks every now and then? I am told, there are these Sewer Hook ups available at camp grounds. These sewer lines remain hooked up to the RV all through the night till morning? In that case, I am fine, because we can can do the shower, do the morning chores, use the toilet etc while the sewer is directly hooked up to the sewer lines, and once everyone are empty and fresh, we can unhook the lines and drive off. However, if it is like, hook to the sewer lines, empty the tank and move your vehicle for others in line (Just like how we pump gas at a gas station), and repeat the cycle each time the tank gets full, then I have my work cut out I guess…? Please advise.

I have a wonderful 70lb mutt and I cannot stand the thought of leaving her for vacation, so I’m adjusting my vacation plans to better fit her needs. Instead of flying, I’m driving with my boyfriend and four year old dog 2,000 miles. I’m wondering what you all have used to keep your dog comfortable on a road trip. Unfortunately, because I can’t drive stick shifts, we’ll be driving my kind of small car (Saturn Ion 2004) that will not fit her crate. How can I keep her comfortable in the backseat so she’ll be secure and able to sleep during the drive? The backseat consists of 2 bucket seats divided by a black console type thing that I could maybe lay blankets over… If there is some type of car bed or something for my big dog, could you link me to it?
Also, when camping, I do not want to just tie her to something. There will be times we have to leave her to shower and things like that, never more than an hour or so though and we could always take turns going somewhere she’s not allowed. I was looking at something like this: http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?sku=1216449&pd=recentlyviewedproduct
but it doesn’t secure to the ground, so if she wanted to she could escape very easily through the bottom. I want something secure, safe, roomy, and comfortable; yet easy to assemble, lightweight, and kind of concealed. Should I just bypass this whole idea and keep her in the tent? When we’re out of the tent, I want her to be close by but not getting tangled in the lead and everything else… This was so much easier when my dad had a popup camper!
Any solutions? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Looking for suggestions for car/tent camping in New Hampshire and Mass – away from the crazy crowds at the shoreline. Must be well-wooded, have flush toilets (showers are nice) and nearby kid-friendly recreation. Separate RV area (or none) preferred.
Just got back from Bear Brook State Park in NH. Too noisy on weekends with numerous loud children (and adults) starting at 6:00 AM. Archery course was great. The lake was okay for fishing, clean & refreshing for swimming/canoes but also crowded. Kid fishing pond was almost stagnant and had no fish.
Looking for alternatives where young children and adults can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, dining al fresco and sleeping in tents. 10 adults coming from various New England locations limits the range in which to gather, so Mass and Southern New Hampshire are the locations of choice. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

We’re camping in an area that is remote (25 miles off highway) – but in a campground that is well populated. There’s a lake nearby, bathroom facilities.
I will be cooking foods such as meat that will give off aromas & he grease after ward will linger I’m sure.
Also – if I wash the pans w/ water & pour the dirty water out that too will smell like food (the spot the dirty water is poured).
I get that everything should be washed, food should be tightly stored – but the cooking & cleaning has me stumped.
