The Interstate features Airstream’s attention to engineering detail, including unibody chassis construction and a turbo-charged Mercedes diesel engine, resulting in greater fuel-efficiency. It’s streamlined and comfortable. Reliable. Easy to park and easy to drive. The Interstate is truly an all-purpose touring coach, just right for today’s energetic lifestyles. It easily adapts to both weekend trips and extended travel. Wherever you go with an Interstate, there you are. It’s simple.
that looks suspiciously like a mercedes sprinter, that was designed in germany. its badge engineering to get some life back into dodge and al its other sinking compadriates
how do you heat it during winter nights?
There are tank heaters, along with a propane furnace.
hghtyt
This is actually an MB Sprinter, isn’t it? Mercedes is a Daimler Chrysler Benz brand. And Dodge is a Daimler Chrysler Benz brand. It’s a great van. Low fuel consumption, reliable and durable.
That is an amazing B Van. I saw one in SLC but in a full body paint and it was amazing looking! Great video guys!
There’s no Daimler-Chrysler anymore. Crysler is still relaying on Daimler though, see 300C’s platform, Crossfire’s platform, Sprinter’s platform, new Grand Cherokee’s platform, CRD engines and more
Nice looking and practical recreational vehicle. Would appeal to any mechanized Nomad or Bedoin. (translation: Pi CODE CORRECT. ZONED 4 G.P. NECK DNA LAB MIND POLLUTION WHEN IN DEVIL-DoD-ALIEN DATA RADIO CYCLE AREA).
Thanks for that info! I just realized that in Greece we know the same truck as the “Mercedes – Benz Sprinter”. They have exactly the same chassis. The only difference is the logo. In Greece (and in Europe, of course) it has the “MB” logo, not the “Dodge”. And also they may have differences in their engines, because here in the E.U. we have the “EURO” exhaust gases emission regulators (for example “EURO I”, “EURO II”, “EURO III”).
I know very well what you’re talking about. I live not so far from Greece
.
And about the differences, they are only at the diesel engines. But i think Euro5 standard meets the most tight US requirements for diesel, i’m not sure, though
Man, this is so much better than an RV!
Looks nicer, easier to store and drive, better gas mileage, more luxurious in every way! I want one!
I’m really sorry, I thought you were from the United States. I haven’t seen you are from Romania. You mean that the U.S. have changed their exhaust emission regulators and they now make more “clean ” vehicles, that accord with “EURO 5″? That would be really amazing! Because the States are not so known for their fuel economy.
nice
Sincerity appealed to more the Dodge to me Tradesman this seems a large box.
check out the dodge caravan features
sweet
How much does this cost?
Really nice van. Polished fit out. Shows it’s possible to build a luxury motorhome inside a panel van.
Nice, but waaaay expensive. I plan on buying a used work van…. Getting the Mercedes grille and emblems, and pimpin out the interior myself… I figure I’ll save 50 grand. Gave me some ideas though… Thanks Airstream!!!
lovely. I don’t dare ask how much it costs.
nice and so much {ok)
The concept of the European James Cook is much better I think. The “bed” of the shown one doesn´t really look comfortable.
Nice looking view *****
But too many windows left, what decrese inside insulation
It has a furnace
I like this rv. but where to buy?
