Plan in advance

To avoid getting bug bites or becoming contaminated with poison ivy, always wear long sleeve shirts and pants, even within the warmer summer months.

Carry the appropriate supplies

When you’re on the trail or camping for the night, you need to bring the appropriate supplies. Find a check list you should follow if you’re going camping while on a trail. When you are only going hiking, some of the essentials you will need are great trekking footwear that will not cause harm to your feet, lots of drinking water and a few snack foods to help keep you energized. Also, make sure to pack a first aid kit, cellphone and compass in case you get lost from your trail.

Stay smart and do not go crazy

As previously written, never overwork yourself or act like an experienced hiker if you’re first starting out. For example, newbies must not veer away from labeled trails.
