Traveling to Durban

The city Durban is situated on the East Coast of South Africa in the KwaZulu Natal province. This is close to Pietermaritzburg and Margate. Durban has a sunny weather with endless sightseeing spots and it offers tourist attractions for visitors of any age. Hence it is a major attraction for tourists all over the world. Durban has rainfall for at least between April and September and at the same time enjoys temperatures high enough for tourists to enjoy Durban’s beaches. So visitors come to Durban to enjoy the subtropical sunny climate all through the year.

History
Durban is also very diverse in culture and acts as home place for several. Durban is the heritage of slave trade, since several slaves were imported to Kwazulu natal to work heavily in sugarcane plantations. These Indian slaves added color to the culture by introducing several strong curries and spices. Therefore the city is referred to as the “hot city” due to the combination of the strong curry and the sunny climate.

The BAT Centre is known to host various exhibition shows including poetry, music and spoken-word events.

The Golden Mile
The sandy beach stretches from South beach to South coast Casino and Entertainment world to the north. Many tourists reach Golden mile every year to experience exciting sunbathing, surfing and swimming in the warm water of the Indian Ocean. The beach is lifeguard patrolled and has a net to protect the swimmers from sharks. The Golden mile also includes bars, restaurants and overnight facilities.
