Be careful because he/she is still young and can’t walk as well as you, maybe stir away from hikes or walking and stick to roasting marshmallows or going on a boat or riding a bike (with a carseat or a little back wagon.
Make sure at night (if you are staying overnight) keep him/her warm and maybe tell some stories but nothing to scary.
Have fun

HAVE FUN!
We took my oldest camping twice – the first time she was 5 months the second time she was 15 months. She absolutely loved it. Last summer her and Daddy camped in the backyard a million times.
Just bring lots of food, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, bug spray, bathing suit, etc.

Try talking to the Scoutmaster (adult leader) at the local Boy Scout Troop. http://www.scouting.org/localcouncillocator.aspx
Use the link above to find the local troop. The scoutmaster will be happy to help in anyway he/she can.

It will be fine. Last summer I took my boys camping and they did great! They were about 9 months old and 2 1/2 years old at the time. Just bring sun screen, baby wipes, extra clothes and toddler safe bug spray. Have fun!

Bring a safety pin to latch through the zipper of the tent so your little one doesn’t try to escape when you’re sleeping lol.
Don’t forget to bring your child’s security object and favorite book for bed-time and some fun stuff to do. Also, don’t forget the toddler friendly bug repellent. The bugs can get really bad in the evening.

i took my son camping when he was 2 1/2 and i learned some lessons for next time.
- bring a back pack with a change of clothes, swim suit, snack, water bottle
-bring games, flashlight, there own special sleeping bag
- get a campsite that has a plug (we went with the intentions on cooking everything over campfire but than there was a no fire rule cause it was to hot)
We had so much fun, we got up and had breakfast than went to the park that was on the campsite, swimming, played in the sprinkler, my hubby and son would walk to the lil store at the entrance and get popsicles and ice cream.
go to a campsite cause they have lots of things to entertain childern and they have places to go cook. you could bring a grill and make bacon and eggs and eat it outside. its so nice
dont bring anything like dvd players or video games. have fun
