Yeah, take a comfy air conditioned house with you. Babies love being in those.
bubs will love being outside in the fresh air so it should be fun!
I would just make sure that you have a place to put him when he is awake where he won’t be confined, like a stoller, but where he can’t get all the dirt and crap and put it in his mouth!
A playpen on a nice big blanket or tarpauline would be ideal. Plus a portable crib for inside the tent for sleeping.
the rest of the stuff is pretty obvious; anything you use everyday at home will want to come with you including a small tub or baby bath to bathe him in.
We took our one year old to a rather rustic cabin recently. There was running water, though not drinkable and electricity. The only problem we had was that he couldn’t really crawl around freely, because the cabin was tiny and had a wood stove and outside was rocky and dirty and kind of treacherous. So we had him in our laps or in the baby backpack a lot of the time.
A quiet safe place for him to nap is probably a necessity, unless he will nap on you. A place for him to sit and eat (if he’s on solids.) Extra clothes, in case it gets cold and to keep him from bugs and sun. A sun hat. We probably brought too much stuff, actually, I think we could have done with much less.
If he’s not mobile a large blanket for him to sit on/tummy time on is a must. Bring some of his favourite toys and maybe a few new ones he hasn’t seen before.
If he is mobile a travel play pen is good so that he can be sitting and playing on his own but safe from getting into rocks/twigs/bugs etc.
We went camping with my son when he was just shy of 6 months and had no problems.
