Going camping on your period? Any tips?

Im going on a guide camp on Saturday, its for a week, but my period is due around Saturday/Sunday ( sometimes it can be up to three days late). I am looking forward to this camp so it sucks that Im going to be "on". I have been cramping for the last few days so I can tell its going to be painful and heavy :( I assume there will be toilets and showers because its a big campsite, but Im not 100% sure. Do you have any tips? Has anyone else been camping on your period?

I have heard of a drug that a doctor can prescribe to you called norethisterone which, taken three times a day can delay a period for as long as desired.( I dont want to use birth control) I am 14, do you think I am too young to ask the doctor for it?

liste n your not too young but your parnet woulld have to ask. but don’t do it it’s incredibly bad for you and can cause cervicil cancer!! And the vaccine doesnt work don’t take anything of that nature just bring tampon s and pads.

just take like tylonal or ibrephrophine for the cramps and then use a tampon. you will only have to change it like 2-3 times a day and that can be while your eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner so it doesn’t interfere with you doing other things

Most camp grounds have to have toilets you could always call and ask if there’s showers and bathrooms. As long as your parents are ok with you asking for the medicine i would say try it wont hurt.
