Going camping on your period? Any tips?

I am looking forward to this camp so it sucks that Im going to be "on". I have been cramping for the last few days so I can tell its going to be painful and heavy
I assume there will be toilets and showers because its a big campsite, but Im not 100% sure. Do you have any tips? Has anyone else been camping on your period?
I have heard of a drug that a doctor can prescribe to you called norethisterone which, taken three times a day can delay a period for as long as desired.( I dont want to use birth control) I am 14, do you think I am too young to ask the doctor for it?
Take tampons..
bring LOTS of tampons,
have an "emergency" bag where every you go, put in tampons/pads and clean underwear
dont drink/ eat cold things
no drugs (medication drugs)
dress warm (do NOT be cold)
BRING SOMETHING LIKE WET WIPES!!!!! do not be stuck there with NO SHOWERS while having a period, it may get messy, so bring little packs (or a big pack) of wet wipes with you
hope this helped!
Yes, I have been camping on my period before. It’s difficult, but can be done.
Tips: 1. Bring lots of tampons/and or pads. 2. Get some sort of wipes to take with you (in case they turn out NOT having showers, that would suck!) You can wipe off in the bathroom if you need to. There are several other wipes you can get– diaper wipes (hey, they work!), they make actual toilet paper brand wipes, or you could get something like the Always wipes (they come with the pads). But, my suggestion is diaper wipes, you don’t have to get a huge box of them, they make little slim packages that can be put easily in a purse, or bag. 3. If you get cramps, take midol with you. Midol is my savior when I am on my period! 4. Bring extra undies, and extra pants. Even if you think you won’t need them, you never know!
And my suggestion is, unless you want to regulate your period more, then I don’t see the need for birth control (UNLESS YOU ARE sexually active), which it doesn’t sound like it. I also, don’t see the need for the prescription you are talking about (I’ve never heard of it), but just because you are going camping, I wouldn’t run to the doctor and have him prescribe it to you, especially because you are 14. Periods suck, they do. But if you are trying to delay your period, just to not have it (and not because you are going camping), then I would think more about birth control.
Good luck!
