This video is my idea on a fire kit you can put together, it has common items, that you can purchase easily. The items I have put together can help you start a fire during most situations you may encounter.

I like the kit, a little on the large side. But you can’t put a value on fire, I would rather have the extra weight and a guaranteed fire.

As a McCormick man, I can’t say I like the John Deere shirt.

Good fire kit. I carry one about that size in my truck and have another smaller one in my backpack.

Good stuff! I like the tongue depressors. Next gun show you go to or military surplus store, get some trioxane fuel bars. 3 of them will not cost you over 2 bucks (I hope). The take a spark well , small and do not weigh much. They will burn for 3 to 5 minutes. They have proven to me to be wind proof and will burn in wet conditions. They come sealed in heavy duty foil.

Another great item to add to your kit is dryer lint. It catches great with just a spark. I keep a coffee can next to the dryer and my wife fills it up.
