    I’ve learned from my fellow campers here on YouTube that you save a lot of fuel weight by choosing precooked dehydrated rice and pasta meals like minute rice and easy mac.

    I bring the water to a quick boil, turn off the stove then place the carbs and hot water in a cozy for 5 to 10 minutes instead of simmering the old way for 10 minutes.

    My back and wallet can tell the difference!

    Don’t bring cans especially on long hikes. If you pack it in you’ve gotta pack it out. Cans take up way too much space.

    @chushinryoku not when you cook in them… not recomend for most cans since they can contain bpa… The way I look at it is this.. if I carry it in why cant I carry it out wont take more space since its the same iteams basicly..

    @BulletProofNinja49 compare carrying 3 cans to 3 vacuum packs. One gets smaller after use, doesn’t require a can opener, is lighter, takes up much less space, and cooking in any type of aluminum is not safe.
