My friend and I are going on a fishing trip and plan to cook what we catch. I know how to cook fish so my real question is, if the fish are not biting what are some good fall back meal ideas?

Aluminum foil dinners are an easy camping meal. You can get them all ready before you leave the house, so no preparation is needed when you get to the great outdoors, just putting them on the fire.

Slice up potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic (if you like it), and some ground beef (cooks best in small balls) or chicken breast pieces. Salt & pepper to taste.

Lay out a piece of aluminum foil about 1.5 ft long. Put your food down the center, vertically, leaving about 3 inches on top and bottom from edge of foil. Bring the long edges of the foil together and roll them together, then roll the ends together.

If your meat is really lean, you might want to put some fat (like butter or margarine or cooking spray) on the foil before rolling it up.

Time it takes to cook depends on the size of the dinner and how hot your fire is.
