Got any good camping recipes?

Posted: November 7th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Camping Recipes | Tags: , , , | 8 Comments »

Going camping soon. I plan on hiking and eating a lot… gotta keep warm, right? Got any good recipes to share? Over the campfire, coals, or on a stove. I’m hiking in about 2 miles, but I can carry some items. Thanks!

I have some recipes, they look great. Some of them require a dutch oven, which is not too heavy to carry sometimes. Take a look and it might help you. :)
    Camping since 1971.

I think it would be easier to eat all the food before you head out….you know, store it inside you! I would eat muffins and pecans.

A pack of hot dogs and a stick. I love hot dogs cooked over a campfire until they’re nice and crunchy.

I’m not fancy when I camp. I like hot dogs and beer.

build a good ol’ campfire and make pepperoni pizza mountain pies. its kinda like makin grilled cheese with pizza sauce and pepperoni. i highly recommend them. you can also sub. the pizza ingredients with pie filling i.e. apple, blueberry, cherry. you can find a mountain pie maker at your local sporting goods store.
