Smores are always a big hit with the kiddies, but there are some really easy ones, that take little or no time to prepare, and yet perfect for cokking over a fire or a grill, check this out for soem dedlicious tried and true recipes.
Here is a recipe for hobo dinners. when i go camping with my family they are a hit!! (this recipe serves 10 people)
Ingredients
1 1/4 lbs meat
2 1/2 cups potatoes, sliced
2 1/2 cups carrots, sliced
1 1/4 cups onions, sliced
10 teaspoons butter
garlic powder
salt
pepper
cooking spray
aluminum foil
Directions
1.Spray 18-inch square of aluminum foil with cooking spray.
2.Place about a handfull of the meat in center of foil.
3.Place about a handfull of the vegetables on top of meat.
4.Season with butter, salt, garlic powder and pepper to taste.
5.Fold top and sides of foil several times to seal food.
7.CAMPFIRE: Place on hot coals near the edge of your campfire and allow to cook 25-30 minutes, or until meat is done.

we use cast iron pans to cook over the fire.we like to make cillie quick and easy,and in the mornin we’ll use the cast pot to make a batch of scrambled eggs we wil use a few pieces of charcle for this because who wants to set a fire in the mornin.

Something I cook for 5 family members when we hike and camp is lipton noodles and add salmon or tuna. With all of these items in a sealed pack all you have to add is water.
2pks of lipton noodles-choice of flavors- I like the butter ones
2pks of meat- sealed salmon, tuna or chicken
for taste, molly mcbutter
another good one is turkey sausage, get the precooked kind, take fresh squash and zucchini and onions
some butter and you have a great stir fry
melt butter in your pot add onions cook slightly, then cut up sausage in chunks, cook until sausage browns a little, add
chopped squashes, simmer and add salt and pepper to taste, very yummy you can even cook at home to try it
