What is some good camping gear to have?
Posted: April 30th, 2010 | Author: Mitch | Filed under: Camping Gear | Tags: notch | 6 Comments »Hi, I go camping every year and this year I want to step it up a notch and be more professional. What I am looking for is stuff to make life easier when out on the road. I also need it to not be too expensive. Thanks!
The above list is very detailed:
I went camping this Dec in the Western Cape, South Africa. I camped about 500m from the beach.
It was summer here, here’s what I had/needed/forgot.
Tomahawk
1m poles for if the wind picks up (secures the tent).
Umbrella (I forgot mine)
Small broom
Tent, matress, bedding/sleeping bag.
Small crates, handy for seats and packing stuff in.
Torch, Scissor, Radio.
Old newspapers (starting fire, cleaning etc.)
balls (for sports)
Camera (memories)
Budget and menu
Planning (test ur tent beforehand, plan ur site etc.)
Every camper (own chair, cup, plate, utensils)
Toilet paper (enough)
Good company
A portable dildo.
Tough question.." more Professional" ?Are there pro- campers?Whatever, a good camp knife always comes in handy and it should be something you like the feel of, Heck, I cut with mine, clean animals with it,eat with it, in a pinch I can throw it accurately and stick it in..what ever. It’s like…part of me…
This site has a lot of gear and equipment

It’s hard to tell you what you need if we don’t know what you have. I also don’t know what type of camping you will be doing or what environment and season you will be camping in. I’m not sure what you mean by professional, but I usually like to take as little as possible.
