Searching for caravan seasonal pitches on the internet I have found is a hit and miss affair. Having spent weeks and weeks of searching the internet on an evening trying to find the best caravan seasonal pitches which has all of the requirements that me and my family require.
One main things that has been difficult, is that of trying to discover a camp site that will either be open for 12 months of the year, or camp sites that can store your caravan for you during the off-season time of year to save on the time spent travelling with your caravan.
I have found that out of most camp sites which do seem to open all year, most split their seasons into two, the summer season and the winter season. The summer season appears to be mainly between the months of March through until October, whereas the winter season is that of November through until the end of February.
When trying to find caravan seasonal pitches, check whether the prices they quote cover all the costs necessary for the year or season.
For instances, I have been recently quoted £1800 for a 12 month all year season, but there are additional costs for the electric. Some charge for extra people and cars, so ensure you check the fine print.
If you have an awning for your caravan, does the caravan seasonal pitch arrangement allow you to leave it up in you absence? Obviously it would be easier if they did, so you would not have to bother with putting it up when you arrived for a weekend break. You might, however, like to remove it in the winter months when you are not there. The winter weather in the UK can often get quite stormy with strong winds and you would not like to find your awning in tatters.
In summary, really good caravan seasonal pitches are there to be found it you look hard enough. Even if the caravan sites do not advertise seasonal pitches, give them a call and 9 times out of 10 a deal can be done.
