Moving from Illinois to Colorado–cheapest way to get our stuff there?

Posted: April 15th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Camping Gear | Tags: , , , | 2 Comments »

We are planning on getting rid of a lot of stuff from our one bedroom apartment but still have a lot of things to take with us–bed, two/three dressers, maybe love seat, tv (flatscreen) and stand, and camping gear would probably be our biggest. Any suggestions?

Stay there, we don’t want you.

Sell everything. You can buy what you need in Colorado, trust me. Ok, if you just have to drag your stuff out there, get a truck from U-Haul and drive it all out there yourselves. You can usually buy used moving boxes cheaply from http://www.craigslist.com and save some money that way. Really, though, it’s better to travel light and sell or give away whatever you can before you go.
