We will be camping there the second week of June, and wonder what kind of camping gear we will need. How cold does it get at night in June?

It should be nice. Bring rain gear a windbreaker. You might want a sweatshirt to pull one at night.

I went to waterton park last may and it was cold. Plus, it was tick season. They did tell us at out hotel that may is high tick time, but I would maybe look into that too. Bring a lot of jackets and heavy clothing. The mountains are so unpredictable.

You should be prepared for anything, the mountains can be very unpredictable. Expect jeans and sweaters or a light jacket for night time as it does get chilly, the days will likely be warm but that’s not for certain. I would bring blankets, rain gear, and summer clothing as well. Weather in Alberta is really weird and we can experience all four seasons within a few days.

Have fun, the area is truly spectacular.
