How soon are people going to be camping out for a Playstation 3?

How many days before launch are people going to camped out? When the Xbox 360 lauched they had 1.5 million available and I saw people camped out for days before it came out. Any guesses?
From what I’ve heard, the number will be around 400,000 at launch in the US and 100,000 at launch in Japan.
At the e-3 2006 show Sony said that they would have 1 million units at launch and another 1 million during the first quarter of 2007, but they said the same thing about the PS2 and they only delivered about half of that amount. I don’t know anywhere that you can pre-order the PS3 yet, but I’m sure soon you will be able to pre order it in limited amounts. I’m pretty sure there will be a mad rush for the PS3 when it comes out. I would say you should be camped out at least 2 days early to get one, i know i would like to get the PS3 at launch, but i think i will have to wait a little bit to get one (maybe 3 months after launch) and that can be a good thing because something as complex as the PS3 is bound to have some minor bugs in it.
I would say that people will start camping out around the 13th of November before the system comes out.
I will stand in line one night, that’s it.
