History Question – Concentration Camps, Germany, Nazi, etc.?

Why do you think Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, and Turkey were not?
Germany was under Hitler’s power during this time and the countries that had camps were under Nazi Germany power. Switzerland and such were Allies or Neutral during this time.
cuz those other countries were more neutral or had not been taken over by the axis
Because Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, and Turkey had these two common factors:
1. They were not conquered by Germany
2. They had a very low Jewish population
—
Germany built concentration camps in areas that had high Jewish populations (both in Germany and in countries they conquered).
… because the countries you mention were not under Nazi Germany’s control (occupation).
all of the countries you listed were not under the german flag in wwii. there were concentration camps in other places outside of germany. most were classified as interment camps and not death camps. much like the german and japanese interment camps that we had in the usa during wwii. there were camps in north africa and many other places. as for the concentration of thre camps mainly in poland and germany there is a simple answer. under apeasement poland was essentally given to germany before we got into the war. it is always easier to build infrastructre in your own territory. poland was part of germany after appeasement and germany had absolute access to its land and the use of that land for what they wanted. germany wanted to build the camps with a degree of consealment and poland provided that to germany.
