Hi there.
I finally viewed your video, after you posted a comment on mine. Looks like you both had a wonderful time camping out at the GC. Nice sunset pics. How glorious is that?! I visited there in the morning, and did the trip on my own. Wanted to be there all by myself and be a bit selfish for a change. Isn’t it just the most beautiful place! I enjoyed seeing your visit – looks it was a wonderful time for you both.
Wow…you guys went further down then I did. I plan on going back someday and doing the overnight mule trip all the way to the bottom. How long did it take you to reach the bottom at Phantom Ranch? Very cool!
@AprylRed It took us about seven hours to hike down the South Kaibab Trail to Phantom Ranch. We broke the kike out over two days, spending a night at Indian Garden. Did your mule trip go out to Plateau Point? That’s a great view! I did that as a day hike in February 2002, and it was ice and snow at the top and shirt sleeve weather down at Plateau Point.
@AprylRed No, we went down Bright Angel Trail down past Indian Gardens, but not all the way to a look out over the River, but I don’t think that was called Phantom Ranch…maybe Plateau Point?? I don’t remember, but it was amazing on a mule. Next trip is the overnight mule ride!
wow… looks like you had a great time. Nice production! Take Care
