I’m looking for any advice pointing towards a good, affordable campsite, and affordable cabins/hotels in Tennessee in the Appalachian’s. A place that is ideally located close to canoing and horseback riding.

Townsend, Tn is considered the peaceful side of the Smokies. It has everything you’re looking for and it’s more affordable than neighboring Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge………..

If you’re going to camp you can’t beat the Smoky Mountain National Park. It has several great campgrounds.

Moonshine Creek campgrounds are nice located in Cosby Tn. Also about a 20 min drive from Gatlinburg.
