Camping in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park?

Am looking for a primitive campsite in the park… You know, where there is no running water, no electricity and no fees. Any recommendations and directions?

all the sites charge fees–even backcountry sites, you must get a backcountry permit for $20 night…however, even the drive in sites dont have running water, electricity, etc and are very nice.most national park campsites are very primitive…if you want to go real backcountry, the Box Canyon campsite is sick–10,000 feet elevation and i’ve seen bighorn sheep grazing above me and elk in a meadow below me.if you follow thru, make sure you know what you’re doing–i’m experienced and thought i was gonna get hypothermia in august, watch out for afternoon thunderstorms, dont get caught in one out in the open..if you’re unsure stay at the drive in sites and just do a nice daytrip–the rockys can be very unforgiving
