Camping In Florida: The Sunshine State And Far More

Camping has always been an inexpensive way to enjoy a vacation. Getting out into the great outdoors, and after the initial expense of buying gear, never really having to buy much more is a added incentive to do this. You don’t have to be a special type of person for camping in Florida and many people of all ages choose to spend their vacation time, close to nature in this way. Camping sites, are very inexpensive and nearly all of them has great facilities.

The thing about camping in Florida is that there is so much to see and do. You can visit the coast, the panhandle area or even go far inland to the interior. When people think of Florida they think of good weather, the sea and golden beaches, but this is not Florida in its entirety.

From Panama city to Miami where you can experience Cuban culture, you will be very pleased with any of the choices you make and camping makes for a perfect family vacation.

North Florida and Santa Rosa County in particular, provides for some spectacular adventures. Milton is the county seat for this state and is also one of the oldest cities in Florida, so it is well established and has some interesting history too. This city was incorporated officially in 1844.

It is a sportsman’s paradise and if it is adventure you are seeking, adventure is what you will find. Water sports are great fun, as is learning to rope and enjoying nature at the same time. A centrally located area like Milton allows the visitor access to many fun-filled activities and is close enough to Fort Walton, Pensacola and Panama City to allow the visitor to take day drives to these areas. There are plenty of camping facilities available, so you can just lift up your temporary home and move on to wherever tickles your fancy.

Close to Milton you will also find the Blackwater River State Park, this park is renowned for being a hot spot for swimming, fishing, kayaking and enjoying nature. The river is absolutely pristine and it is only 15 miles from Milton.

The Gulfarium in Fort Walton is a must see for the whole family, and this is an ideal place to learn more about the sea creatures that inhabit the coastal areas of Florida. You will see dolphins, sea lions and many other interesting and entertaining creature. Just by the way, Florida is also home to the gentle Manatee, and if you get the opportunity to visit these shy creatures, it will make your trip.
