Caravan Seasonal Pitches
Searching for caravan seasonal pitches on the internet I have found is a hit and miss affair. Having spent weeks and weeks of searching the internet on an evening trying to find the best caravan seasonal pitches which has all of the requirements that me and my family require.
One main things that has been difficult, is that of trying to discover a camp site that will either be open for 12 months of the year, or camp sites that can store your caravan for you during the off-season time of year to save on the time spent travelling with your caravan.
I have found that out of most camp sites which do seem to open all year, most split their seasons into two, the summer season and the winter season. The summer season appears to be mainly between the months of March through until October, whereas the winter season is that of November through until the end of February.
When trying to find caravan seasonal pitches, check whether the prices they quote cover all the costs necessary for the year or season.
For instances, I have been recently quoted £1800 for a 12 month all year season, but there are additional costs for the electric. Some charge for extra people and cars, so ensure you check the fine print.
If you have an awning for your caravan, does the caravan seasonal pitch arrangement allow you to leave it up in you absence? Obviously it would be easier if they did, so you would not have to bother with putting it up when you arrived for a weekend break. You might, however, like to remove it in the winter months when you are not there. The winter weather in the UK can often get quite stormy with strong winds and you would not like to find your awning in tatters.

In summary, really good caravan seasonal pitches are there to be found it you look hard enough. Even if the caravan sites do not advertise seasonal pitches, give them a call and 9 times out of 10 a deal can be done.

Surf Shop Locations
Surfers and journeys go hand in hand; unfortunately this is a major reason why surfers never have money! Surf travel is EXPENSIVE! Wave riders need some assistance in this area; not to mention the community surf shops. Peaks and Barrels are planning to present just that. There is finally a website dedicated to surf voyagers. Navigation is easy and makes sense, they also are very easy to contact as well. To stay updated on Surf journey News they have made available a free member domain to stay connected.I hate spam, One cool thing about peaks and barrels is that they have many ways to stay updated so if email updates are not your thing it is not a problem. They are connected to all of the social sites like facebook and twitter. They have great coupons they tweet out for the neighborhood shops. What makes this service rare is that surf shops can use Peaks and Barrels to release their coupons and surfing deals. Here is a cool feature instead of worrying about keeping up with all of your favorites surf shops, get plugged into peaks and barrels and then you stay up to date on all of the local shops in the whole world! After you grab your coupon from the PNB website or Twitter, visit their Surf Travel Map which is very easy to use and makes touring a much simpler experience. You will find their map has all of the well know breaks as well as the neighborhood surf shops connected to those breaks. Their map is very exclusive and inclusive it is exactly what a surfer needs to plan a surf jaunt. Using peaks and barrels is fun and easy, I can line up a surfboard that I want to surf during my voyage at a local surf shop, and I can avoid a 0 board bag airline charge.By the way, when using Peaks and Barrels to organize your tour just mention peaks and barrels and the partner shops will totally take care of you!!!Peaks and Barrels has really jumped into the 21st century of surfing by finding a niche, identifying a problem and offering an innovative solution. They are essentially an extension of the community surf shop on the global level.
The goal is to show surfers where their community surf shops are around the world. They have a surf team that is headed up by World #6 Amee Donohoe. She can be quoted as saying “I really feel like I am at home with Peaks and Barrels.”She told me that she had never heard of them before they had approached her. We asked her if Peaks and Barrels had any other plans besides the interactive surf travel maps? She Smiled and replied “You will have to wait and see, but I can tell you this…It is exactly what the surfing world needs! “When you are on their site you can pick up a tee shirt. We could not get a straight answer on who designs their tees. To be honest we really love this site. They do a nice job on shirt design so if you want you can pick one up on the site too! Peaks and Barrels is really attempting to make their mark on the surfing world and they are doing a fine job at it. Peaks and Barrels are working on tools that are going to make surf travel easy and fun. Peaks and Barrels target is Surfers. If you surf, and you tour; then you want to be Surfing Peaks and Barrels: Where Surfers GO! Planning a surf trip requires a tactical plan that may or may not lead to scoring perfect waves. The deal with neighborhood surf shops that is killing them is online sales and the mega surf shops with the mega marketing budgets. Peaks and Barrels understand one concept so important to surf culture and that is the ability to get a locally shaped board that is designed for the wave you are journeying to surf. It has become all to common that you will pay to much and receive very little. The local surf shop needs to be on the map for surfers this is how they plan to help out the industry. They are trying to help provide a solution, they are working to make surf shops a global destination once again. Peaks and Barrels Where Surfers Go.

Every year $thousands of boating equipment is wrecked by salt corrosion. The salt water boating environment with constant salt laden winds, ocean spray from breaking waves is tough for any gear to combat. Effective salt removal is essential if you want your gear to last as it was hopefully designed to.
Salt is tenacious in its ability to hang on to surfaces, combine this with its hydroscopic nature and it doesn’t matter how much fresh water you throw a it, a residual amount will be left behind to start a salt corrosion problems which will end up corroding what ever gear it has adhered to. So comprehensive salt removal is a must, otherwise your valuable boat, plus if you love fishing, your high end game fishing reels will fail during the catch of a life-time. Even your terminal tackle will suffer, quietly corroding away, then the is your expensive marine electronics!.
Much of the salt corrosion goes on without us seeing it, your meticulous cleaning with fresh water often flushes salt into cracks and crevices that are out of sight. Now the salt goes to work, quietly dissolving the surfaces it is in contact with.
So what is the answer to salt removal?
The key to comprehensive salt removal is salt neutralisation; making the salt totally inert and passive and removing the salt crystals that can bind up rigging, winches and fishing reels. This is best achieved with water soluble salt neutralising solutions, that react with the salt coating the seen and jamming the unseen surfaces, chemically changing it to stop the salt’s corrosive ability.
The most effective products for doing this is Salt-X SX50 & Buster 50, they are economic and, highly concentrated and neutralize salt immediately. SX50 & Buster 50 have the advantage of being able to work their way into cracks and crevices neutralizing the salt hiding there and arresting the salt corrosion cycle. An additional advantage is the coating that is left once SX50 & Buster 50 have air dried. This gives the treated equipment additional protection and makes salt removal simpler next time round. It also leaves critical lubricants intact, unlike other solvent based products!
So if you are committed to removing salt from your boat, start using SX50 & Buster 50 and halt the salt corrosion that is quietly degrading your investment.

Bike riding is one of those sports that anyone can enjoy and the benefits are almost limitless. Lots of people ride a bike just as a means of transport, whilst others include cycling heavily in their fitness regime. Generally speaking the type of cycling you do will affect how your muscles will adapt. Cycling for long periods of time, but at reasonably low force, will encourage your muscles to build slow-twitch fibers and improve their endurance levels. On the other hand, if you cycle hard and fast, your muscles will build fast-twitch fibers and become more powerful. But which muscles get worked the most when cycling.
Quadriceps (thigh muscles). When cycling, its is the muscles at the front of the legs that provide the majority of the forces and thus are worked hardest. These are the muscles that straighten out the leg and produce the down force on the pedals, which in turn rotate the crack. Racing bikes in fact are designed to locate the quads directly over the crack so that maximum efficiency is achieved. When cycling fast, these muscles are contracted and relaxed hundreds of times a minute and so they need to be in good shape.
Gastrocnemius (calf). Although the calf muscles are much smaller than the quadriceps, they still do and important job of transferring power to the pedals. Flexing the calf muscles when the leg is in a straight position, points the toes towards and adds a small boost to the overall power output. Pinarello make pedals that dynamically pivot to squeeze every last bit of power juice from the calf muscles.
Hamstrings. It may be the thigh muscles that provide most of the forward momentum when riding, but in order to flex the legs and prime them for the next downward push, it is the hamstrings that do the work. This doesn’t require much force on a standard bike as the rotation of the pedals pushes the leg up but when you use cycling shoes that clip to the pedals, a large amount of additional force can be generated by these muscles in the upward movement

Being outside means getting dirt on your hands, roughing it, and being happy no matter what weather comes your way, right? This does not have to be true, although you can head out for a long trip without even preparing. However, how easy is it to focus on catching fish when freezing water is dribbling down your neck? Being prepared for fluctuating weather means dressing for comfort and success.
There are wildly fluctuating weather conditions in the northeastern section of the United States. Summer can often be severely hot, while winter can be mind-blowing cold. Using a layering approach is the best solution in most cases, as it is not uncommon to see as much as a 30-degree temperature difference in as little as 8 hours. You can really benefit from being able to adapt for whatever is blown your way. The key is being able to add or take away a layer of clothing to stay dry and comfy while outside.
Summer mornings can be cool, even when the early morning news is predicting temperatures reaching ninety. Many fishermen dress in a comfortable flannel shirt layered over a flimsy t-shirt when they leave at 5AM, anticipating these warmer temperatures. However, when they are on the water cruising along, they will quickly chill. Stash a windbreaker or light jacket to the mix and you will be comfortably warm. Those who fish at night face the opposite problem. It’s nice and warm when they leave the dock, but temperatures quickly drop and that t-shirt becomes less comfortable by the minute.
One of the most significant benefits to a light weight jacket or windbreaker is the small amount of space they take up and of course they weigh so little making them easy to carry. Many fishermen find they fold up conveniently and stow right in a tackle box and they can be easily reached if needed. Windbreakers offer dual benefit – especially if you purchase the right kind. Some have only snap or only zipper closure. You’re really better of purchasing one that has a dual closure – as the snaps over a zipper can help keep water out especially if you’ve got wind and rain. The other benefit of course is this material helps seal your body temperature in while it keeps the wind and rain out. A hood is also helpful and most windbreakers and light jackets have ‘stow-way’ hoods that hide inside the collar.
You cannot stay healthy if you don’t stay warm during the winter. That said, anyone who has ever worked outside during the winter understands the need for layering. As you work, you begin to sweat, and the cool air plus the sweat equal the opposite of comfort. Expend as little energy as you can, and dress in layers so that you can add or remove one to stay warm (or not) as needed. In the cold, take off a layer when you start feeling too warm. Add that layer back as you cool off to stay very comfortable with little hassle.
Use layers to stay comfortable during the freezing winter months. Make sure that you create a layering system that works for you in your fishing conditions. When a fisherman is comfortable, he or she will fish longer, increasing the likelihood of catching bigger fish and more of them. Making better decisions is much simpler when you are comfy, and any fisherman knows the importance of using any advantage possible. After all, why would you choose to be cold and miserable?
Clothing is not the only important thing to consider, you should also consider your fishing supplies. Some of the most popular fishing equipment is Penn Fishing Reels including Penn 975 Reel and Penn 209.

Camping in an RV is one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever done. Surrounding ourselves with spectacular views, breathing lungfuls of fresh air, and listening to birds chirping and brooks babbling all contribute to a fulfilling camping experience. Being able to appreciate these things in the comforts of our RV only enhance this experience. It’s the little things that make camping comfortable, and give us the feeling that it’s just like home.
Acquaintances from neighboring campsites are welcomed with a sincere smile and a hearty handshake. A sign placed in front of our RV with our names and home state printed across it offers a great way to introduce ourselves. A couple of glowing garden lamps light the way to our front door where our guests notice a welcoming doormat.
Our patio is covered by our RV’s ample awning, which shades us from direct sunlight during the day and keeps debris from nearby trees from falling on top of us. It also allows us to be able to stay outdoors in a gentle rain without getting wet. A set of de-flappers are attached at the edges to prevent the awning from becoming damaged if the wind kicks up.
A vinyl map of the United States is clearly visible on our door, with the states where we’ve camped colored in…offering the chance to open a conversation. We can reminisce about all the places we’ve already been and discuss future plans for all of the places we’d like to visit, but haven’t yet. It gives us tremendous satisfaction to see all we’ve accomplished through our RV travels.

Inside, battery-powered flameless candles flicker, emitting a pleasant scent and giving our RV a “homey” feel. A small vase holding seasonal flowers sits in the center of our banquette table. Framed pictures of our family line the shelf behind our pillow-covered sofa. A small lamp glows warmly from its perch on our built-in nightstand.
We show off the most recent addition to our array of personal comforts…a hand-held shower wand made specifically for RV-ers. It has the convenient on-off switch which allows the user to limit the flow of the water; thus, not using up all of the hot water or filling up the gray water holding tank. It has several nozzle selections ranging from a hard, pulsating spray to a gentle, constant stream. Our new friends are happy to learn that even something as personal as a shower can be very comfortable and enjoyable with a simple change of the showerhead.
Light refreshments are served on a couple of handy trays, which we carry outdoors to the picnic table that we’ve covered in a colorful tablecloth. Our camping neighbors feel welcomed and appreciate our sincere hospitality. We are pleased to have made more friends…fellow campers who enjoy the same things we enjoy…camping comrades, per se.
Camping in an RV is a wonderful way to vacation and travel. It’s a great way to meet people who share our interests. It creates the opportunity for us to make lasting friendships. The little “comforts of home” continue to make our RV camping experience very enjoyable.

Tahiti holiday
When the mutineers of the Bounty cast adrift their captain, they had no idea their deeds would lead to the beginning of Tahiti holidays. The region is now legendary having been featured in Hollywood films.
The glorious travel destination of Tahiti was born and it has been much loved by tourists ever since.
Tahiti continues to be chosen for films because of its gorgeous islands and inhabitants.
Only nowadays the focus is more on lavishness than mutiny.
“Couples Retreat” and other films has seen a surge of interest in Tahiti holidays.
Popular Tahiti accommodation includes over-water bungalows and there is a noticeable absence of high-rise apartments.
The thatched roof bungalows often feature see-through glass floors that give guests a one of a kind scene of the ocean.
There is more to a Tahiti holiday than a trashy novel and a swim in the hotel pool.
Package holidays in Tahiti can include 4WD adventures, art lessons, cooking, fishing and dive excursions.
Paul Gauguin, an impressionist painter, spent the last years of his life in Tahiti before he died in 1903.
It’s perhaps his lasting influence which today sees many Tahiti holidaymakers crouching at easels with canvas and pastels trying to capture the beauty of the islands.
His influence is still seen today as many visitors enjoy painting the Tahiti landscape.
For the ultimate art experience, visitors should stay at Le Meridien Tahiti which has a gallery and daily art classes. Guests are taught by local artists.
The same resort has lessons in cooking, instructed by the executive chef.
Art and cuisine is also found in other places in Tahiti.
Shoppers will love the Papeete markets which feature woven bags, massage oils, fresh fish, vegetables and of course, the famous black pearl.
Pearl farms are spread throughout French Polynesia.
The process is started by prying open an oyster ever so slightly to allow the insertion of the “nucleus”.
Oyster meat is also inserted, depending on its colour.
The pearl takes two years to change into its final appearance and its colour varies from the darkest black to pink, bronze, green and blue.
As you might expect, there is an incredible price difference depending on the final colour, size and quality.
South Pacific destinations such as Vanuatu, Fiji and New Caledonia tend to be popular destinations for Australians as they are relatively close. However the flight to Tahiti is eight hours from the east coast.
As a result, it is seen as a ‘niche’ destination among travel suppliers who promote South Pacific packages.
Other destinations get top billing so it can be a lot of work to find the ideal Tahiti holiday.
Australians looking for Tahiti holidays should first visit Travel Monitor. This is an independent website that presents all the current packages in the one place which saves travellers a lot of time visiting a multide of websites. The information is constantly updated to ensure deals are accurate and current.

The biggest of America’s cities, New York attracts millions of visitors every year who come to experience its unmatched style and culture. Most gay travel to New York is centred in Manhattan, but now there are other regions to enjoy such as Brooklyn which has developed a large gay community over the past few decades. It is often said that Manhattan has the best nightlife, restaurants, theatres, and shopping.
New York City is a great destination to visit at any time of year, but it sees the largest number of tourists during the hot summer months when millions of gay vacation fans descend. If you want to explore the city when the crowds are less, then fall can be a great time to come. The winter season holds a charm all of its own, even though it can get very cold and even snow. Many memories have been made through sitting in a warm restaurant or bar when it is freezing outside. Of course Christmas is also a perfect time to get a feel for the city.
The gay and lesbian festivals and events can be found throughout the year. New Year’s celebrations are unmatched anywhere. During spring there are the NewFest and Tribecca film festivals that attract many gay visitors. There are a number of different Gay Pride events held in various boroughs, the famous New York City event takes place in late June, whilst in Brooklyn and Queens it is held towards the start of June. Halloween is also a popular time to camp it up.
Before visiting the city it is good to have a little information on how it is laid out. There are five main boroughs. Manhattan is actually a small island found between the East River and Hudson River. Queens and Brooklyn are situated on the edge of Long Island, not so far across the East River from Manhattan.
There is an excellent mass transit system that is affordable and easy to navigate. It is better not to bring your own car or rent one as the traffic can be rather severe as are the parking costs.
New York City is well connected to all the other East Coast urban areas through rail links and long distance bus services. Those flying in will arrive at one of three airports, of which La Guardia is the most convenient for Manhattan

If you are seriously considering taking one of those nice holidays then why not look into where and when? The thing is, it is has become very expensive to actually go away at the moment simply because the recession is hitting everyone rather hard. Where is the best place to visit if you have been saving for a long time?
All inclusives can sometimes be nice but the often lead to having to hang around with people you really do not want to. A hotel can be nice but a villa could be the way forward as it is yours for the trip. If the weather turns nasty at a villa there are often more things to do than you think, many come with pool tables, dart boards and various other things.
If you are thinking about going to Disney World or somewhere like that a hotel could be a cool place to to because they are so good. The hotels here are actually based purely on what Disney want so a lot of the time they will base it on something they feel the guests will love.if you are staying near a tourist site in Europe it could benefit you rather than annoy you. Although Paris can be very busy it is surprising to see just how many nice hotels are tucked away within the busy city, the one I stayed in was actually a very nice play to holiday in simply because it was right in the centre of Paris but also down a quiet road where you could never hear any traffic whatsoever.
If you are planning on going further then it is going to cost you lot more but then again your money is paying for a place that is very nice. Of course going to Africa on a safari is going to cost you a lot of money but it is worth the money to see the animals in the wild.
Take your vacation seriously this year and read a few travel blogs for ideas on a place that works for you.

If you want to be a successful live bait fisherman you need to understand the gamefish food pyramid. All kind of bait that is used for fishing that is natural to a game fishes environment has it’s set place in the food pyramid and all live baits from the top of the pyramid to the bottom depend on each other to survive.
For example for there to be an abundance of of say largemouth bass there would be need to be a abundance of plankton which is at the bottom of the food chain. You are probably wondering why. Well in order for a body of water to hold a good population of large mouth bass there needs to be a good of bait fish for the large mouth bass to feed on. Well live bait such as bait fish need to have a abundance of zooplankton, which feed on phytoplankton. Well I think you get the picture.
Actually there is some what of pecking order for the food pyramid. The pecking ordered is arranged by the number of pounds at each level of the pyramid. The lower the number of poundage the higher the live bait item is listed in the food pyramid. If one of these poundage number somehow gets out of whack, the whole food pyramid will suffer. The gamefish at the top of the pyramid need the live bait species of the bottom of the pyramid to survive. All species need to be be linked in harmony for the food pyramid to work efficiently.
For example for any food pyramid to have say 10lbs of a combination largemouth bass, pike, and walleye which would be at the very top of the pyramid there would need to be 100 lbs of small gamefish to feed on such as bluegill, yellow perch, small bass, small pike, and small walleye. The small gamefish would need to have 1,000 lbs of live bait such as bait fish. The baitfish could be made up a variety of live bait such as bluntnose minnows, shad, fathead minnows, rosy red minnows, creek chub, hornyhead chubs, blacknose dace, golden shiner, goldfish, white sucker, and madtoms or willowcats. These bait fish would need to have 10,000 lbs of zooplankton, and the zooplankton would have to have 100,00 lbs of phytoplankton. You can see know how those very large gamefish need the smallest of live baits to survive.
I want to thank you for reading my article about Blacknose Dace. Have a great day and the the best of luck to you on your next fishing trip

Picture Wales in your mind, and what do you see? What I can picture are rugged mountain peaks, green rolling hills and plenty of grazing sheep. Wales retains a charm and beauty that is rare in a world where natural landscapes are disappearing. It may be one of the reasons why the country’s visitor levels have exceeded 13 million in the year!
There is something for everyone in this country, castiles, plenty of wide open spaces and a great choice of adventure sports for all levels. Another fascinating option when considering things to do in Wales, is exploring the ancient mines and caves litter the hillsides.

As well as medieval castles, Wales also has some intesting abbeys and churches that are accessible to everyone. While you take in all the historical atmosphere, you could visit one of the 320 or so art galleries at your disposal or the National museum to savour the culture.

Boating is all about fun, and fun is all about hanging out with friends and chilling on the water with some camp beer. Part of boating is camping and, well, part of camping is beer and parties. In fact, many of the visitors to the campgrounds and lakes around the United States are party animals with camp beer and these young boaters are having the time of their lives on lakes such as Lake Livingston and Lake Havasu. There are some fun things party animals with camp beer can do:
Party animals with camp beer can float some of the most popular bodies of water in the United States. Most U.S states have ample opportunity for young boaters to relax and float on houseboats, powerboats or any other type of water vehicle. Houseboats are especially popular among the young lake boating crowd because party animals with camp beer often take their party from the campfire to the water. Houseboats allow boaters to move about with plenty of room, and the larger boats sometimes replicate a land party.
Party animals with camp beer can head to the campgrounds at many of the more popularlakes in America. Most lakes (such as Shasta Lake in California or Silver Lake in Florida) have campgrounds around the lake or at least offer camping units for boaters wanting to stay the weekend. Boat party with camp beer often make their boating experience last more then one day, and campgrounds are the cheapest, most fun option out there. Camping out at night and cruising the lake at night are popular options because they cost almost nothing (most campgrounds charge between $10-30 per day for ground usage). Plus, you really can enjoy the outdoors for everything it has to offer.

From daysailing and cruising to racing, sailboats come in all different shapes and sizes to accommodate various functions and purposes. Whether a sailor is looking for some recreational relaxation out on the water or seeking the thrill of an exciting regatta, a sailboat must be properly equipped for all sailing activities.
Since the art of sailing requires the sailor to harness the wind to control the boat’s speed and direction, certain sailboat parts become critical. Specifically, the rig must be correctly tuned and outfitted, including sails, booms, lines and blocks, as well as running and standing rigging.
Sailing lines, including both rope and steel cable, are used on a sailboat and its sails for both stationary and movable purposes. Lines that serve the latter purpose are referred to as a sailboat’s running rigging, which controls the actions of the sails. These movable lines are mostly composed of halyards, downhauls (also called cunninghams), and sheets which raise the sails, strike the sails, and adjust the sails, respectively. With every adjustment of the sails, another important component of sail shape management is sailing blocks. Working with lines, sailing blocks are pulleys used to control the shape of the sails. A system of the appropriate blocks for individual sailing purposes is necessary for smooth sailing. Blocks also provide leverage for sailors to adjust sails against the great pressure the wind can place on sails, particularly during heavier winds. Although these sailboat parts are indeed small, an appropriate set of blocks is important for all sailing adventures.
Known for their sailboat hardware and accessories, Harken offers a comprehensive selection of all types of blocks including single, double, triple, cheek, and snatch blocks. Harken is known for producing stong, durable, compact, and low friction blocks. These blocks come complete with special features including sheave and sideplates UV-stabilized with carbon-black additive for maximum protection and free-rolling Delrin® ball bearings.
